Our Family Farm LLC is located in the northeast corner of DeSoto County, Mississippi. The farm is within ten miles of Germantown, Collierville, and Memphis, TN as well as Olive Branch, MS. It is owned by the Neergaards.
The Neergaard family traces its farming roots to 1721 in Norway. The name means "near the garden." The Neergaards' ancestors came to America is 1848 and settled in Tennessee. Members of the family moved into their new location at 14281 Stateline Rd, Olive Branch, MS in 2000.
Many members of the Neergaard family are actively involved in the farm operations today. The farm operators are college educated and use modern technology and equipment. Their farm is a "medium-sized" diversified family farm focusing on row crop production. They also raise beef cattle, quarter horses, hay, and do custom farming. Modern technology is important to the business but so are traditional "country" values.
